GBL Tech in Lisbon is seeking a .NET Developer to take technical ownership across developing cloud-based applications. You will design and implement REST APIs, microservices, and integrations using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.

You will build cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, contribute to architectural decisions, promote clean code and SOLID principles, and collaborate with international Agile teams, DevOps, and CI/CD processes.

The Role

We're looking for a .NET Developer to take technical ownership across the development of modern cloud-based applications. Beyond hands-on development, you'll contribute to design and architectural decisions, helping shape scalable solutions while ensuring high standards of code quality, security, and reliability.

Your Mission:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and evolve applications, REST APIs, microservices, and integrations using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
• Cloud Engineering: Build and enhance cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Storage, and Azure SQL.
• Technical Ownership: Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, applying sound engineering principles to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Quality & Reliability: Promote clean code, SOLID, design patterns, code reviews, automated testing, logging, and observability across the development lifecycle.
• Distributed Systems & Integration: Develop solutions around microservices, asynchronous communication, and distributed architectures, ensuring reliable integrations between systems.
• Delivery & Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps teams on Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment processes while collaborating within international Agile teams.
• Technical Support & Mentorship: Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues, helping less experienced developers overcome technical challenges and improve their engineering practices.

What We Are Looking For:

• .NET Expertise: Strong professional experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core, including the development of production-grade applications and services.
• Cloud Experience: Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development, particularly Azure App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, and Azure SQL or equivalent services.
• Backend Architecture: Proven experience building REST APIs, microservices, and solutions based on asynchronous communication and distributed systems.
• Data & Development Practices: Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, Git, SOLID, design patterns, clean code, and automated testing.
• DevOps & Delivery: Experience with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Boards, and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Security & Troubleshooting: Good understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and the ability to diagnose complex production issues.
• Technical Leadership: Strong autonomy and the ability to take technical ownership, influence design decisions, and collaborate effectively with international Agile teams.
