KCS IT, a Lisbon-based technology consulting firm, seeks a Mid-Senior .NET Developer for a hybrid role in Lisbon, Portugal. You will design and build scalable backend systems, APIs and services with .NET technologies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across client projects.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, strong C#/ASP.NET Core skills, and expertise in authentication, databases and DevOps practices.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Background in Backend Development, APIs and services.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time communication solutions.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using .NET technologies.
• Design, implement and optimize RESTful APIs and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues; write clean, maintainable code.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and CI/CD activities.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development;
• Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core and C#;
• Solid background in Backend Development, APIs and Services;
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs;
• Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time communication solutions;
• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD);
• Experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or other relational databases;
• Familiarity with Entity Framework or similar ORM frameworks;
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices;
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes;
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture;
• Experience with automated testing frameworks;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Fluency in English (mandatory).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure environments;
• Knowledge of C++;
• Experience integrating software with hardware devices;
• Knowledge of Design Patterns and software architecture best practices;

As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining scalable backend applications using .NET technologies;
• Designing, implementing, and optimizing RESTful APIs and services;
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions;
• Implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms;
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues;
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code;
• Participating in software architecture and technical design discussions;
• Contributing to CI/CD processes and deployment activities;
• Working closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements;
• Ensuring compliance with development best practices and coding standards;
• Promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
