Hovione is seeking a Maintenance professional to join our global CDMO network in Portugal. You will maintain and repair mechanical equipment on site, follow SOPs, participate in risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement within a lean, quality-driven environment.

The role involves QA/HSE participation, documentation duties, and training responsibilities for junior team members, ensuring compliance with procedures and clean, safe working areas.

Qualificações

• Full secondary school qualifications or equivalent (mandatory) and vocational qualification (highly desirable);
• Experience on Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil&GAS or Food Industry;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
• Ability to write routine reports and communications and speak effectively before groups of customers, official entities, and peers;
• Able to comply with the tasks described in the technical competences matrix applicable to functional Area;
• Numerical capability for simple arithmetic;
• Ability to work in shift patterns;
• Computer literate.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the maintenance, service, repair and troubleshoot of all equipment and installations (mechanical) on site is performed as per Standard Operating Procedures, Maintenance Work Instructions or engineering best practices;
• Participate in risk assessment of work permits and control of their appropriate execution;
• Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement initiative and lean tools within the area;
• Participate in the Quality Assurance and HSE programs, guaranteeing the timely implementation of corrective actions;
• Assist in the training of more junior members of the maintenance area in their area of expertise;
• Ensure the correct completion of all required documentation, paper or system based, associated with own and area work;
• Ensure proper tidiness and cleanliness of the maintained equipment and area as well as of his/her working area;
• Collaborate in the analysis / investigation of irregularities;
• Follow established procedures and processes with ability to interpret instructions, drawings and equipment technical documentation;
• Undertake any additional tasks commensurate with the role as and when required.
