A technology service provider is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work in Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, you will support critical infrastructure and perform tasks such as hardware installations, server management, and structured cabling. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center environments, strong cabling skills, and relevant certifications. This position offers pay rates between €15-21/hr based on experience. Applicants must have their own transportation for on-site duties.

Qualificações

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.

Conhecimentos

Cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)

Troubleshooting connectivity and hardware issues

Professional communication skills in English

Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)

Formação académica

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar)

Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)

Ferramentas

Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
