You will ensure clear definitions, ownership, and quality, partnering with the Digital Finance Data Team and stakeholders to enable trusted Finance data for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI.

You will lead community initiatives, embed governance into data products, and advance enterprise standards with tools like Collibra, SAP, Snowflake, and Power BI.

• 5+ years in Data Governance or Data Stewardship.
• Finance data, controls, and reporting experience.

• Hands-on metadata management with data catalogs.

As Finance Lead Data Steward, you will lead the practical implementation of data governance and stewardship across Siemens Energy Finance. You will ensure that Finance data has clear definitions, ownership, quality expectations, lineage, access controls, and lifecycle responsibilities. Working within the Digital Finance Data Team, you will partner closely with the Finance Data Domain Manager, Finance Data Stewards, business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and central governance teams. You will combine community leadership with hands‑on governance work to establish trusted and reusable Finance data for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Lead and develop the Finance Data Steward community by setting priorities, coordinating activities, providing practical guidance, onboarding, and enablement.
• Drive the operational implementation of the Finance data governance framework in alignment with the Finance Data Domain Manager and enterprise governance standards. Advance the day‑to‑day governance operation through effective use and continuous improvement of tools such as Collibra and related capabilities.
• Lead Finance metadata management, including the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business terms, data assets, Key Business Data Sets, and related governance records.
• Embed governance requirements into Finance data products, analytical solutions, AI use cases, business processes, platforms, and transformation initiatives.
• Provide governance expertise for data quality monitoring, remediation, proof‑of‑concepts, and Enterprise Data Quality Assurance processes.
• Represent Finance Data Governance in cross‑functional and enterprise initiatives, translating Finance requirements into practical governance and data solutions.
• Build data literacy across Finance through training, engagement, and reusable guidance.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, metadata management, data quality, Master Data Management, or Finance Data Management.
• Substantial experience with Finance data, processes, controls, and reporting requirements; deep expertise in at least one Finance discipline is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and communities and influence stakeholders across business, governance, and technology organizations.
• Hands‑on experience with metadata management, data catalogs, ownership, lineage, and data quality, preferably using Collibra or a comparable governance platform.
• Familiarity with enterprise Finance data environments such as SAP, Snowflake, Power BI, or SAP Analytics Cloud, combined with strong facilitation and communication skills.
