We are currently seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our team in Almada As a Lathe Operator you will be responsible for operating lathes to shape and cut metal pieces according to specifications This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for machining and an eagerness to learn and grow in the field of turning

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
• Set up and operate lathes to shape metal pieces
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy
• Adjust machine settings as needed for different materials and specifications
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain machines by cleaning and performing basic maintenance tasks
• Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred
• Previous experience as a lathe operator or similar role preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machining processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools eg calipers micrometers
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials

Salary $1500 per month negotiable based on experience

Location Almada Portugal open to all nationalities

Working hours Full-time Monday-Friday occasional overtime may be required
