Critical TechWorks seeks a Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems for BMW product lines. You will work with SQL/NoSQL databases, apply microservices patterns, and collaborate on domain-driven design and reactive programming in a fully Agile setting.

Strong testing, security practices, and willingness to travel are expected. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in Java EE, and bring cloud/container awareness plus English proficiency.

Qualificações

• At least 2 years of experience using Java EE.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Microservices, Cloud and Container architectures.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design, event sourcing, reactive programming, automated testing and security.
• Excellent English; German skills are a plus, valid right to work in Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java backend systems for BMW products and services.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Implement and maintain microservices ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Collaborate in domain-driven design and reactive programming with cross-functional teams.
• Develop automated tests and embed security measures into backend systems.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
