Modaxo is seeking an IT Security Expert to lead the implementation and management of security tools and services across group locations. This role focuses on guarding business-critical data, monitoring for unusual activity, and staying ahead of cyber threats in collaboration with the information security team.

You will maintain security guidelines and controls, keeping abreast of current cybercrime tactics and reporting incidents in a structured manner.

Qualificações

• Three to five years of cybersecurity experience at a midsize company.
• Deep knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networks.
• Extensive knowledge of security frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
• Ability to work effectively in teams.

Responsabilidades

• Collect data on current security measures for risk analysis and write system status reports.
• Monitor for attacks and deploy defensive protocols if a breach occurs.
• Conduct vulnerability testing and update defenses with IS lead.
• Implement endpoint protection, firewalls, and software updates with a security-first mindset.
• Install and maintain security software to protect data systems.
• Monitor networks, servers and systems for signs of incursions.
• Respond to data breaches and malware incidents.

We are looking to appoint an IT Security Expert who will lead implementation and management of security tools and services across group locations.

Objectives of this role

• Implementation and management of security tools and services across group locations.
• Guard business critical data, particularly sensitive information, from both internal and external threats by designing broad defences against would-be intruders
• Take the lead in day-to-day monitoring for unusual activities, implement defensive protocols, and report incidents.
• Collaborate with other members of the Information security team to Implement layers of protection, and other proactive and defensive systems for remaining ahead of cybercriminals
• Maintain documentation of security guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls
• Maintain knowledge of current cybercrime tactics

Responsibilities

• Collect data on current security measures for risk analysis and write systems status reports regularly.
• Manage GRC compliance for the group.
• Monitor constantly for attacks and run appropriate defensive protocols if a breach occurs
• Conduct testing to identify vulnerabilities and collaborate with IS lead to update defensive protocols when necessary.
• Implement endpoint security solution, firewalls, and software updates with a security-first mindset.
• Running tests and assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Developing plans and procedures to safeguard and recover data.
• Installing and maintaining security software to protect data systems.
• Monitoring systems, servers and networks for any signs of incursions.
• Responding to data breaches and malicious malware attacks.
• Simulating data loss scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of existing recovery plans.

Required skills and qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity at a midsize company
• Deep knowledge of IT, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Extensive knowledge of security frameworks.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to identify and diagnose threats.
• Problem-solving skills to develop effective procedures and plans.
• Strong oral and verbal communication skills to write reports, train staff and collaborate with other members of your IT team.
• Organizational skills to create reports that are clear and easy-to-read.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information systems, information technology, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings.
• Knowledge of security solutions such as CloudFlare, Crowdstrike and Rapid7
