Decskill is expanding and seeks a Senior Java Developer to join a project with a hybrid work model in Porto. You will develop robust Java applications using Spring Boot, AWS, and microservices while collaborating with product teams to meet timelines.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Java experience, strong security practices, and English fluency. It offers opportunities for growth within a global Astek Group presence and diverse, long-term engagements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development with Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, microservices, and design patterns.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization/orchestration.
• Frontend experience with React.js or Angular is a plus.
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of API security and data privacy best practices.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum and driving Agile practices.
• DevOps familiarity: CI/CD, Gitflow, IaC, deployment patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and proactive mindset; English fluency required.

Responsabilidades

• Translate storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code.
• Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to align with business needs.
• Prioritize and resolve client issues, meeting SLAs.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to feature design.
• Identify and document technical debt and improvements.
• Establish robust documentation for knowledge transfer.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose fixes.
• Follow Agile Scrum in application development.
