Resumo da oferta

Bosch Portugal, through its Braga R&D Center, is seeking an experienced electronics hardware engineer to develop and document automotive hardware components, from schematics to BOM creation, and to own key parts of the hardware development process.

You will collaborate with Software, Validation, PCB Layout, Manufacturing and Quality, participate in design reviews, optimize for EMC, safety and reliability, and contribute to cost-competitive, manufacturable solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a similar technical field.
  • Professional experience in electronic hardware development, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, schematics, and simulation tools; PCB basics; validation/release; EMC/thermal awareness.

Responsabilidades

  • Execute electronic hardware development tasks, including schematics, simulations, and BOM creation.
  • Design and document electronic circuits in line with requirements and automotive standards.
  • Own the hardware development process from requirements through production and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Software, Validation, PCB Layout, Manufacturing, Quality).
  • Participate in design reviews, audits, and root-cause analysis for hardware issues.
  • Optimize hardware designs for cost, robustness, EMC, safety, reliability, and manufacturability.

Job Description

Your contribution to something big:


  • Execute electronic hardware development tasks, including schematics, simulations, and BOM creation.

  • Design and document electronic circuits in compliance with defined requirements, design rules, and automotive standards.

  • Own the hardware development process of components or subsystems, from requirements gathering through to series production and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Software, Validation, PCB Layout, Manufacturing, and Quality) on hardware-related topics.

  • Participate in design reviews, audits, and support root-cause analysis for any hardware issues found during testing or production.

  • Optimize electronic hardware designs for cost, robustness, EMC, safety, reliability, and manufacturability.


Qualifications

What distinguishes you:



  • Education: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a similar relevant technical field.

  • Experience: Professional experience in electronic hardware development, ideally within the automotive industry (preferred).

  • Know-how:

    • Strong knowledge of electronic hardware design principles, schematics, and simulation tools.

    • Familiarity with PCB design basics and the hardware validation and release processes.

    • Basic understanding of EMC, thermal management, and electronic components.



  • Languages: Fluency in English (both spoken and written).

  • Working Style and Methods: Systematic and organized approach to managing complex tasks, with a strong capability for analytical problem-solving.

  • Personality: Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, capable of discussing technical choices, managing trade-offs, and addressing risks effectively.
