The Supply Chain Engineering Professional / Expert is part of a customer dedicated support team within PRISM Supply Chain Management / CEVA Lead Logistics.

This role is responsible for leading Continuous Improvement activities, internally as well as with customers and involved 3rd parties, and through this ensures the delivery of contractual performance and financial targets to PRISM’s customers.

This function works in close alignment with different PRISM customer management and operational teams to analyze data, identify performance and process gaps and to drive improvement initiatives accordingly.

Reporting to the respective PRISM Contract Manager this role focuses on:

  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement and cost reduction / savings
  • Definition of Continuous Improvement activities and presentation to involved stakeholders
  • Alignment with operational and support teams on implementation of CI measures
1 Supply Chain Network Analysis
  • Perform regular / periodical analysis of customer’s transportation flows with regards to geographies, volumes, supplier / 3PL performance and transportation cost
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to implement (e.g., through network changes, consolidation potential, routing and schedule changes etc.)
  • Support measurement and reporting of CO₂ and GHG emissions and provide suggestions for emission reductions
  • Share improvement plans with involved management teams, including customer (on request)
  • Support implementation of improvement plans and track benefits (cost, lead time, CO₂) vs. expected ROI / KPIs
2 Performance Management
  • Support management and operational teams in monitoring operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify patterns / trends and underlying root causes of deviations
  • Support data extracts and report creation / updates where required, work closely with involved IT and Business Intelligence teams on data availability and data quality improvements
  • Prepare data and visualizations to support internal and external business reviews (MBR / QBR), organize and attend performance meetings on operational level;
  • Work in close collaboration with operational management to identify improvement action plans within Control Tower operations and support implementation with involved stakeholders
3 Process Improvements
  • Collaborate with Operational Management and Business Process Excellence (BPE) to regularly review and analyse processes in PRISM’s operational Control Tower teams as well as processes involving Supply Chain stakeholders (suppliers, 3PLs, warehouses etc.)
  • Identify areas for improvement (quality, efficiency, communication, documentation) and develop process change initiatives and projects with involved stakeholder groups
  • Be responsible / accountable for the customer continuous improvement roadmap in collaboration with contract management, keep customer updated on a regular basis on ongoing improvement projects.
4 Sizing and costing
  • Support Contract Management to create periodic budget and costing simulations; support the preparation of budget presentations internally and to customer
  • Support costing exercises for business extensions, contract renewals and customer change initiatives
  • Keep a centralized repository of savings initiatives including planned / realized cost savings and compare vs. target
