ICEYE is seeking a Forward Deployed Backend/DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid role in Portugal (Lisbon). You will deploy and operate the intelligence platform in secure environments, building high-performance backend services and data pipelines using Python/Go, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with Terraform/Ansible and offline CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience and willingness to travel 40–60% within the region.

Qualificações

• 5+ years hands-on backend engineering building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Go; typed, tested services with async APIs.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps practices (Terraform/Ansible).
• Production cloud and on-prem environments experience (AWS and air-gapped setups).

Responsabilidades

• Deploy ICEYE’s platform into secure environments (on-premise, air-gapped networks).
• Design and build high-performance back-end services and data pipelines.
• Own databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), schemas, indexing, and backup strategies.
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, including offline/isolated-network deployments.
