SIXT in Lisbon is seeking an experienced senior frontend engineer to shape customer-facing experiences across SIXT's digital checkout, booking journeys, and self-service flows. You will work with React and TypeScript, contribute to a scalable micro frontend architecture, and own parts of the monorepo and CI/CD pipelines.

You will stay hands-on, lead cross-team frontend initiatives, and drive architecture decisions that deliver real customer and business impact.

Qualificações

• AI tools in daily engineering workflow and autonomous coding tasks
• 5+ years building production-grade frontend applications
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript for scalable code
• Experience with monorepo tooling like Nx or Turborepo and module federation

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You actively use AI-assisted and agentic AI tools as a core part of your daily engineering workflow — from code generation and automated testing to documentation and autonomous task execution — and you help define sensible engineering practices around them
• You design, build, and evolve scalable frontend features and shared UI libraries using React and TypeScript across multiple product areas
• You stay hands‑on in code, lead cross‑team frontend initiatives, and drive topics from idea to production with clear customer and business impact
• You architect and evolve our micro frontend platform using module federation, ensuring teams can ship independently without sacrificing consistency
• You own and improve our monorepo structure, tooling, and shared component system to maximize developer experience and delivery speed
• You maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including build optimization, test automation, and release workflows

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• AI‑Assisted & Agentic Development You actively use AI tools — such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or agentic frameworks — as a core part of your daily engineering workflow. You are comfortable working with AI agents for autonomous coding tasks, code review support, and workflow automation, and you know how to apply them in ways that remain reviewable, reliable, and genuinely productive. This is not optional — we expect AI fluency as a baseline skill.
• Experience You have 5+ years building production‑grade frontend applications and are comfortable operating at a senior or staff level across architecture, implementation, and cross‑team technical leadership
• React & TypeScript You have deep expertise in React and TypeScript and know how to write maintainable, testable, and performant code at scale
• Monorepo You have worked with monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo and understand how to structure shared libraries, enforce boundaries, and keep large codebases manageable
• Micro Frontends You have hands‑on experience with micro frontend patterns and module federation, and know how to design for team autonomy without sacrificing product cohesion
• CI/CD You are comfortable owning frontend pipelines in GitHub Actions, including testing, linting, bundling, and deployment automation
