Pestana Hotel Group, a leading multinational in Portuguese origin, seeks a Finance Trainee to support accounting activities for its USA companies (NYC, Miami) from its Lisbon Shared Services. The role emphasizes accuracy, Excel proficiency, and collaboration with Treasury and Accounts Payable teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on finance exposure or formal education, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work across departments.

Qualificações

• Experience in accounting or finance (mandatory).
• Proficiency in English (mandatory).
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel tools (mandatory).
• Prior experience with SAP (preferencial).
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong organization skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a multifunctional space.
• Availability to travel to U.S.A.
• Availability to work in U.S.A time (not mandatory).
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Classify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of invoices in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all invoices for purchased services and products are posted in the correct month.
• Work closely with vendors/suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment issues (along with the Treasury department in Lisbon, Portugal) or missing invoices (along with the Accounts Payable department in Lisbon, Portugal).
• Reconcile and/or analyze vendor balances.
• Provide all the necessary information to the Accounts Payable department to create new suppliers’ master data and update data from current ones.
• Review Accounts Payables’ ageing and ensure all vendors are paid on time.
• Place purchase orders as requested by all the Operations Departments of all hotel units.
• Obtain quotes for new purchases.
• Analyze purchasing documents on a monthly basis.
• Post petty cash expenses
