McKinsey & Company, through its Finalta Banking team in Lisbon, seeks an experienced leader to drive multi-client benchmarking programs and client deliverables. You will lead analysts, shape insights, and manage relationships with banks and insurers, drawing on two decades of benchmarking experience across 50+ countries.

You will guide the team in crafting high-impact findings, presenting quantified recommendations, and mentoring colleagues to build capabilities.

You will be responsible for leading and developing teams and project managing Finalta’s multi-client and country benchmarking programs in banking.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will oversee and construct client deliverables to ensure the highest possible quality including insightful client key findings, reports and quantified recommendations. You will manage key client relationships throughout and beyond the benchmarking cycle to ensure maximum satisfaction and relationship development. You will manage a team of analysts with responsibility for talent attraction, coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance. You will present results to clients and disseminate key messages among key audiences and stakeholders. You’ll work within our Finalta Banking team as part of our Global Banking practice based out of our Lisbon office. Building on twenty years' experience working with leading banks and insurers, Finalta combines performance benchmark data and best-practice knowledge from 300 financial institutions in over 50 countries to generate insights into how to achieve superior performance. Annual benchmarking provides clients with a unique management tool to objectively assess performance against peers and quantify opportunities for improvement. Our best-practice cases illustrate how to close performance gaps and give clients a roadmap to reach world-class performance while reducing the time, cost, and risk of change.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 5+ years of relevant experience (e.g. in a financial services / banking environment, strategy, consultancy or business development roles)
• Structured, analytical mindset with a passion for creating compelling stories out of data
• Experience of supporting and developing less tenured colleagues
• Talent for building strong relationships with clients
• Ability to effectively manage projects from planning to delivery
• Fluent language skills in English and Italian, both written and verbal is mandatory
• Relevant retail & corporate banking industry knowledge is an asset
