Fyld is seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to join our Porto team. You will work on scalable backend services, implement RESTful APIs, and collaborate with frontend and DevOps to deliver robust software solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, experience with Express/NestJS, databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB), and a solid grasp of testing, security and Agile practices. English proficiency and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Proven professional experience as a Node.js Developer, Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong experience with Node.js and server-side JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express, NestJS, Fastify or similar.
• Experience designing, developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar.
• Knowledge of SQL, data modelling and database optimisation.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, is valued.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests, using frameworks such as Jest or equivalent.
• Understanding of API security and web application security best practices.
• Experience with application deployment and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerised applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English.
