Job Description – Events Associate Manager

This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, project management, and delivery of exhibition booths for industry tradeshows, as well as supporting the delivery of corporate marketing and internal events. Working independently on smaller projects and as part of a wider global events team on larger initiatives, the role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality event delivery and positive stakeholder experiences. Supporting primarily EMEA projects, with occasional support for the Americas, this position provides operational expertise and event management support to stakeholders delivering projects both remotely and onsite. Working closely with colleagues across the Global Events team, the role contributes to the successful delivery of regional and global event programmes while ensuring a consistent and high-quality stakeholder experience. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Independently plan and deliver small-scale events and support larger, more complex projects alongside the Global Events team.
  • Research and develop venue proposals through analysis and coordination with venue partners.
  • Coordinate on-site execution, including venue setup, food and beverage, AV, printed assets, environmental signage, and branded merchandise.
  • Project manage participation in selected industry tradeshows, covering logistics, creative deliverables, exhibit booths, and shipping.
  • Collaborate regularly with exhibit houses to build strong relationships, maintain a thorough understanding of our stored assets, their systems, and ensure efficient handling of orders.
  • Follow established processes and workflows while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and event delivery standards.
  • Build and manage timelines, budgets, and supplier relationships to keep projects on track; maintain accurate financial records and process payments.
  • Manage delegate communications and monitor event mailboxes.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and team support.
  • Support the configuration and administration of event technology platforms, including registration systems, lead capture tools, surveys, and polling solutions.
  • Work closely with global event colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers across multiple regions to ensure consistent delivery standards and a seamless customer experience.
  • Some on-site support may be needed at tradeshows or events.
Required knowledge, experience and education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or Hospitality (advantageous, not essential).
  • 5+ years’ experience in event management and participation in industry tradeshows.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams across multiple regions in a business environment.
  • Understanding of marketing principles and how events and tradeshow participation can support audience engagement, brand visibility, and business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven project management ability, including managing multiple projects and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders across multiple regions, demonstrating strong cultural awareness and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and drive projects from start to finish in a remote environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
  • People skills that build confidence and trust with clients and collaborators.
  • Corporate experience preferred.
  • Comfortable adopting new technologies, including AI‑powered tools, to improve efficiency, organisation, research, and event delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Experience with Cvent is advantageous.
  • A passion for events and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment will set you apart.
