Voltalia is seeking an Energy Storage Expert to support the growth of battery storage across PV projects. You will coordinate engineers, provide technical consulting, and develop strategic solutions with the COE team for O&M of storage systems.

The role requires a Master’s or related degree, 5+ years in battery storage, and English fluency; travel nationally and internationally is expected. You will drive innovations and help set pricing strategies with suppliers and universities.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree or Bachelors in Electrical/Electrotechnical Engineering with specialization in Energy Systems preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience related to battery storage.
• At least 2 years in coordination roles is desirable.
• Experience with lead acid, NiCad, lithium-ion and flow batteries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and thermal aspects of battery storage.
• Experience with construction contracts and contractors for utility-scale battery storage projects.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Fluency in English; French/Portuguese a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate energy storage engineers in all management aspects.
• Provide consulting, design, calculation and services to clients.
• Build a database of battery types, suppliers, specs, prices to advise on suitable systems.
• Trend battery technologies and prices, analyzing market and competitors.
• Carry out technical research on wind power and solar storage systems.
• Develop new strategic solutions with the COE team for operations and maintenance of storage systems.
• Mentor and coach junior staff as needed.
