Loop Future is expanding its security-focused engineering team in Lisbon. We are seeking a full-stack embedded engineer who can bridge high-level C# desktop applications with low-level C/C++ on Linux (Yocto) and RTOS, protecting mission-critical data.

You will design and maintain secure software across Windows and Linux, build Yocto distributions, implement encryption, Secure Boot, TPM/HSM, and ensure robust communication between platforms.

Qualificações

• Strong proficiency in C, C++ (Embedded) and C# (.NET / Application level).
• Expert use of Microsoft Visual Studio for both C++ and .NET development, alongside experience with Eclipse-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux and the Yocto Project (BitBake).
• Solid understanding of RTOS concepts including tasks, semaphores, and ISRs.
• A security-first mindset with knowledge of cryptographic libraries, secure communication protocols (TLS), and vulnerability mitigation.

Responsabilidades

• Develop robust C#/.NET desktop applications (WPF/WinForms) for system monitoring, configuration, and secure data visualization.
• Build and secure Yocto-based Linux distributions, ensuring a minimal attack surface and protected boot cycles.
• Design firmware for RTOS with a focus on memory protection, deterministic behaviour, and secure hardware interfacing (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Integrate security controls such as encryption (AES, RSA), Secure Boot, and Hardware Root of Trust (TPM/HSM).
• Ensure seamless and secure communication between C# high-level applications and low-level embedded targets.

About Role

One of our clients, a leading high-tech engineering firm operating in the specialized Defence and communications sector, is expanding their development team. In this role, you will work across the full stack of highly secure systems. This is a unique opportunity bridging the gap between high-level C# Desktop Applications for user interaction and low-level, hardened C/C++ code for Linux (Yocto) and RTOS environments, playing a critical role in protecting mission-critical data.
