The Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading all machine improvement projects focusing on electrical enhancements. Working with a multidisciplinary group, the engineer guides decisions, analyzes feasibility, cost, complexity, impact, and other variables. The role requires analyzing technical data such as scrap, speed, time between failures, and availability to propose solutions that reduce process variation, improve capabilities, and optimize performance. Once projects are approved, the engineer designs electrical improvements, places purchase orders, tracks manufacturing, identifies suppliers, provides technical guidance to support technicians, leads dismantling/assembly, and delivers necessary technical documentation.
The Electrical Engineer also supports the Operations department in resolving critical issues requiring technical expertise beyond the team, including updating schematics, modifying components or cabinets, and implementing software upgrades. The goal is to keep production on schedule.
