Siemens Mobility seeks a data scientist specialized in Generative AI to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions across industrial domains. You will work on LLM-based systems, data preprocessing, model evaluation, and collaborative development with product managers and engineers.

You will contribute to ethical AI practices, stay ahead of AI research, and help scale intelligent systems across Siemens’ global platforms in a hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Advanced Python programming skills for automation and tool development.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps solutions (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, CI/CD).
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM usage best practices.
• Strong data engineering and streaming tools knowledge.
• Ability to work in a self-organized team and translate complex concepts for stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (spoken, reading, writing).

Responsabilidades

• Research and develop Generative AI architectures and apply LLMs to real-world problems.
• Design, implement and fine-tune Generative AI models for text, image, code generation and synthetic data.
• Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess and manage datasets for AI solutions.
• Develop evaluation metrics and iterate on model performance and training strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and integrate AI solutions.
• Stay updated on AI advancements and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Ensure responsible, ethical AI development and data privacy compliance.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong focus on Generative AI to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge Generative AI solutions, using the latest models to solve complex industrial and business challenges. You will contribute to building intelligent systems that can generate novel content, insights, and solutions across various domains within Siemens.

What role will you play?

• Research & Development: Conduct research into the latest Generative AI architectures Large Language Models (LLMs) and apply them to real-world problems.
• Model Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and fine-tune Generative AI models for tasks such as text generation, image synthesis, code generation, and synthetic data creation.
• Data Engineering: Collaborate with other data engineers to identify, collect, preprocess, and manage datasets suitable for implementing the business Generative AI solutions.
• Evaluation & Optimization: Develop robust evaluation metrics and methodologies for Generative AI models, analyze performance, and iterate on model architectures and training strategies for optimal results.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, domain experts, and researchers to understand requirements and integrate AI solutions.
• Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and Generative AI research, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and potentially external publications or patents.
• Ethical AI: Ensure that all Generative AI solutions are developed and deployed responsibly, adhering to ethical AI principles and data privacy regulations

Which conditions should you meet?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience with any of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Advanced Python programming skills for automation and tool development
• Solid knowledge of data engineering and streaming tools
• Hands-on experience with some MLOps solutions. Examples: MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, CI/CD tools, etc.
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM usage and best practices
• Understanding of storage solutions and data lifecycle management
• Ability to work in a self-organized team
• Strong orientation to the customer is key
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in English, speaking, reading, and writing (mandatory)
• Experience with Microsoft Teams chatbots/integrations (it would be a plus)
