Philip Morris International is seeking a data engineer / MLOps specialist to design and operate scalable data pipelines and ML workflows. You will manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS, develop SageMaker training and deployment pipelines, and maintain Docker/Kubernetes-based applications.

Role emphasizes CI/CD, security, monitoring, and collaboration across teams to accelerate AI-driven outcomes. Hybrid work arrangement offered in Portugal/Poland.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years in Data Engineering, MLOps or similar roles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management and deployment automation.
• Hands-on with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of AWS services including IAM, VPC, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Experience with SageMaker; Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.
• Python for data/ML applications; strong observability practices.

Skills & Capabilities

Must-Have

• 3-5 years' experience in Data Engineering, MLOps, ML Infrastructure, or similar roles
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of AWS services including IAM, VPC, S3, compute services, and CloudWatch
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes (or Amazon EKS) knowledge
• Proficiency in Python for data and ML applications
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, incident management and reliability practices
• Understanding of data engineering, data quality, orchestration and data modeling
• Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, secrets management and least-privilege access

Nice-to-Have

• Experience supporting ML systems across multiple environments
• Familiarity with batch and real-time inference
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and governance frameworks
