Amaris Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist for a hybrid role in Portugal. You will conduct security assessments, implement cybersecurity frameworks, and monitor incidents using SIEM tools while collaborating with international clients on secure digital transformations.

You’ll apply cloud security knowledge and incident response experience, contribute to threat modeling, and support security policy development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles (SOC analyst, security consultant, IT security engineer, etc.).
• Solid understanding of network and system security, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, Splunk, Defender, Sentinel).
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and secure DevOps practices is a strong advantage.
• Experience with incident response, threat modeling, or compliance frameworks is valued.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) are a plus and supported for earning them.
• Excellent English communication skills for client collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk evaluations across IT infrastructures.
• Support the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence.
• Assist in designing and deploying security solutions (firewalls, endpoint protection, IAM, zero trust).
• Perform penetration testing and support red team/blue team exercises where applicable.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure GDPR and data protection compliance.
• Develop security policies, procedures, and awareness materials.
• Stay up to date with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles (SOC analyst, security consultant, IT security engineer, etc.).

• Experience with incident response, threat modeling, or compliance frameworks is highly valued.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) are a plus — and we’ll support you in earning them!
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) – essential for client collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and in multicultural, agile teams.
