SOMINCOR - Sociedade Mineira de Neves-Corvo, S.A. is seeking a Buyer to strengthen the Procurement team.

The role involves managing sourcing and contracting across services and materials, collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams to meet operational needs at the right cost and quality. You will lead end-to-end RFI/RFQ processes, draft and negotiate contracts, and drive continuous improvement in procurement.

Qualificações

• Experience in procurement, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Experience purchasing services and/or materials, including spare parts, industrial maintenance and installation projects.
• Demonstrated sourcing skills: market research, supplier identification and qualification and competitive negotiation.
• Good level of English is essential, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of SAP ERP is an advantage.
• Excellent Office skills are essential, particularly Excel and Word.
• Availability to relocate, given the geographic location of the operation.

Responsabilidades

• Report within the Procurement area and manage sourcing and contracting activities across a broad portfolio of services and materials.
• Lead sourcing and procurement processes across services and materials contracts, supporting operational, maintenance, and project needs.
• Run RFI/RFQ processes end-to-end: market research, supplier identification, technical and commercial evaluation and negotiation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across services and materials, ensuring technical, commercial, and legal alignment.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams to translate operational needs into clear scopes of work and specifications.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance and contribute to continuous improvement of Procurement processes and practices.
• Support cost analysis, budget tracking and reporting for the contracts under management.

Our core business is the extraction and processing of copper and zinc ore, supported by a wide network of contractors and suppliers across engineering, maintenance, and industrial services. We are looking to strengthen our Procurement team with a Buyer ready to take an active role in managing contracts and supporting our investment projects.

Job Description

Reporting within the Procurement area, the Buyer will manage sourcing and contracting activities across a broad portfolio of services and materials, working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Project teams to ensure the operation's needs are met on time, at the right cost and with the right quality and safety standards.

Lead sourcing and procurement processes across services and materials contracts, supporting operational, maintenance, and project needs.

Run RFI/RFQ processes end-to-end: market research, supplier identification, technical and commercial evaluation and negotiation.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across services and materials, ensuring technical, commercial, and legal alignment.

Partner with Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams to translate operational needs into clear scopes of work and specifications.

Manage supplier relationships and performance and contribute to continuous improvement of Procurement processes and practices.

Support cost analysis, budget tracking and reporting for the contracts under management.

Technical Requirements
