Komodo Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on reliability, performance and security.

You will build CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins), manage Docker and Kubernetes, implement Terraform IaC, and set up monitoring via Prometheus and Grafana. The role is hybrid in Lisbon, with 2 days in the office.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex infrastructure solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement complex cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Manage and optimize containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Set up and manage monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Design HA and DR solutions to protect data and services.
• Collaborate with developers and teams, communicating technical details clearly.
• Embed security-first practices across all infrastructure and DevOps activities.

The Project

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to work on a Technology project.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance;
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins;
• Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes;
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform;
• Set up and manage monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk;
• Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to ensure business data integrity;
• Collaborate effectively with developers and multidisciplinary teams, communicating technical information clearly and efficiently;
• Embed a security-first approach across all aspects of infrastructure design, implementation, and DevOps processes.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus);
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions;
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, with Azure being preferred (experience with other platforms is valued);
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes);
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform;
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins;
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk;
• Experience with networking concepts including vNet creation and configuration, subnets, routing, DNS, and peerings;
• Fluency in English; Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Location

Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid - 2 days per week at the office. Candidates based outside Lisbon but within Portugal may work fully remote).
