FedEx is seeking a Clearance Broker to join our Customs Clearance team in Porto. You will review shipments data, prepare accurate clearance declarations, and liaise with customers and authorities to ensure compliant processing.

Ideal candidates will have Dutch language skills (B2-C1), strong communication, and be adept at working in a fast-paced office. We offer development and career growth within FedEx.

What You Will Be Doing

• Reviewing shipments data to understand the exact customer and regulatory requirements and checking the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied
• Using in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations
• Contacting customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed
• Resolving routine customer and customs disputesli>
• Building effective relationships with our customers and helping them to choose the best suited clearance services
• Working within tight time frames in a busy office environment

What Do You Bring With You

• Good understanding, spoken and written Dutch (B2-C1)
• Good team working skills with experience of contributing to team performance in a busy office environment
• Experience or working knowledge of key clearance related principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and commercial flights processing is desired
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight time deadlines
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Microsoft Office and PC skills
