Avantor in the Lisbon area seeks a Chemical Analyst / Onsite Specialist I to support day-to-day lab operations on-site at a leading pharmaceutical client. The role focuses on ensuring smooth workflows, compliance with quality and safety standards, and effective data management in a regulated environment.
Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of lab experience, familiarity with HPLC/GC, and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing setting.
Executes day-to-day lab operations & support objectives at customer facilities, following a varied set of procedures, focused on minimizing laboratory workflow interruptions. Problems and issues are typically less concrete and frequently changing, and are solved by applying experience from comparable situations in the past and/or selecting solutions within known alternatives. Tasks include end-to-end management of gas cylinders and liquid tanks, dry ice, and instrument buffers, solvents and liquid nitrogen, and supporting quality control workflows by executing sampling. Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers.
