Indie Campers in Lisbon is seeking a Campervan Technician to keep our fleet in top condition, enabling unforgettable journeys. You will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, and ensure vehicles are ready for guests.

Fluent English and Portuguese, a high school diploma or technical background, and a valid driver’s licence are required. Weekend and public holiday work available; opportunities to join regional teams across Europe.

Qualificações

• Certified training in mechanics, mechatronics or automotive-related program.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical repair experience; campervans a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct systematic vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including light bodywork and spare parts replacement.
• Coordinate with external partners and regional teams for interventions.
• Move vehicles between depots and assist with depot operations and guest check-ins/outs.

THE ROLE

We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship, mechanics, and hands‑on problem‑solving to join our team as a Campervan Technician at our depot.

This role is critical to ensuring our fleet of campervans is maintained at the highest standards, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys.

As a Campervan Technician, you will be part of our Lisbon team and work with the West Europe Regional Team and your primary responsibility is to maintain our campervans available at all times and at the highest possible condition, contributing to an efficient operation and customer satisfaction. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Conduct systematic inspection to vehicles and diagnose problems on vehicles’ mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including:
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance;
  • Light bodywork repairs that involve spare parts replacement (lightbulbs, windows, side mirrors);
  • Campervan spare parts substitution and repairs;
  • Campervan appliances troubleshooting and repairs;
  • Maintain and develop the relationships with external partners;
  • Coordinating the execution of vehicles’ interventions with external suppliers and regional teams;
  • Maintain all vehicle information systems updated according to the established procedures;
  • Move campervans to and from local vendors, parking facilities or other depots;
  • Maintain depot equipment and spare parts organized and clean;
  • Maintain spare parts inventory systems updated at all times.
• As part of the local team, you will also be part of the daily operations of the depot and will execute tasks related to that effect, namely:
  • Preparation of vehicles and equipment for customers;
  • Assist with handling incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check‑ins and check‑outs;
  • Receive and collect shipments and supplies, organize them in storage area, register item consumption and new orders;
  • Maintain depot equipment, extras and consumables stored at the depot.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Candidates with certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar program in the automotive industry;
• Candidates with at least 5 years of proven experience with hands‑on mechanical and electrical repairs - experience in campervans is a plus;
• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred);
• You're fluent in English and Portuguese (mandatory);
• You're eligible to work in Portugal, have a valid driver's licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You're available to work on weekends and public holidays.
