A Bosch Home Comfort Portugal, por meio da Bosch Global Service Solutions, procura um Backend Developer – Java para atuar no desenvolvimento de microserviços backend na plataforma europeia de veículos conectados, em Aveiro, com modelo de trabalho híbrido.

O candidato ideal tem ≥5 anos de experiência com Java e Spring Boot, mais PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, ciente de CI/CD (Azure DevOps), testes automatizados e prática com ambientes cloud; exige inglês avançado.

Qualificações

• Bacharelado ou mestrado em Ciência da Computação ou Engenharia de Software ou área relacionada.
• Pelo menos 5 anos de experiência em desenvolvimento backend com foco em Java.
• Histórico comprovado de desenvolvimento e escalabilidade de soluções em nuvem e arquiteturas de microserviços.

Responsabilidades

• Desenvolver e implementar microserviços backend modernos com Java e Spring Boot.
• Escrever código limpo, testável e eficiente, com alta performance e confiabilidade do sistema.
• Otimizar a camada de persistência com PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB para dados de telemetria de veículos.
• Garantir qualidade com testes automatizados (unidades, integração, aceitação) usando TDD.
• Contribuir para o ciclo de vida completo de software, desde arquitetura até deployment e operações.
• Colaborar com pipelines CI/CD em Azure DevOps para releases rápidos e estáveis.
• Trabalhar em time ágil com PO, design e frontend para integrar APIs e novas features.
• Revisar código e compartilhar conhecimento de forma construtiva.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement modern backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot for our European connected-vehicle platform.

Write clean, well-designed, testable, and efficient code, ensuring high performance and system reliability.

Optimize the persistence layer using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB to handle and scale massive time-series vehicle telemetry data.

Ensure backend quality by developing robust automated tests across unit, integration, and acceptance levels following a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.

Contribute to the full software lifecycle - from backend architecture design through deployment, monitoring, and operations.

Maintain fast and reliable releases by collaborating with our CI/CD pipelines running on Azure DevOps.

Collaborate closely in an agile team with product owners, designers, and frontend developers to integrate APIs and new features.

Review code and solutions constructively, actively sharing technical knowledge with your teammates.

Profile Education B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field (or equivalent practical/professional experience).

Experience

At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software development with a strong focus on the Java stack.

Proven track record of developing and scaling cloud software solutions and microservice architectures in production.

Hands-on experience in test automation.

Know-how

Deep knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.

Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and in time-series databases (TimescaleDB).

Good understanding of CI/CD concepts, Git, and running applications in cloud environments (via Azure DevOps).

Domain Interest: Interest in or familiarity with the automotive domain, connected vehicles, vehicle diagnostics, and vehicle communication.

Languages Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required for European cross-site collaboration.
