Optiwisers is seeking a seasoned SAP TM Consultant to support deployment of a new transportation management solution as part of a major supply chain modernization. You will design, configure, and implement SAP TM processes including freight order management and carrier selection.

This role requires strong integration with SAP EWM and ERP, experience with external logistics providers, and an agile or hybrid project approach.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per week on-site in Porto

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned SAP TM Consultant to support the deployment of a new transportation management solution within a major supply chain modernization initiative. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP TM processes, including freight order management, carrier selection, planning, and settlement.

This role requires strong integration knowledge with SAP EWM and ERP, and the ability to manage external logistics service providers through the system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the functional design and configuration of SAP TM (on-premise or embedded in S/4HANA).
• Set up master data (transportation lanes, means of transport, routes, carrier profiles, and service level agreements).
• Configure freight unit building, order optimization, and carrier selection based on cost and service criteria.
• Design and implement charge calculation sheets and freight settlement processes (carrier invoicing and reconciliation).
• Integrate TM with EWM for warehouse-to-transport handover, and with ERP for sales order and delivery triggering.
• Support user training, test script creation, and UAT execution.
• Manage cutover activities and provide go-live support.
• Collaborate with business users to define KPI dashboards for transport performance and cost control.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of SAP TM experience, with at least 2 full project lifecycles.
• Deep knowledge of TM planning profiles, optimizer, and dynamic routing.
• Hands-on with charge calculation, condition tables, and settlement processes.
• Strong integration experience with SAP EWM, SD, and MM modules.
• Familiarity with EDI / IDoc communication with carriers (e.g., shipping notifications, status updates).
• Proven ability to work in an agile or hybrid project methodology.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills to interface with global logistics teams.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• SAP TM certification.
• Experience with embedded TM in S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of Yard Management or integration with external TMS/telematics systems.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or retail supply chains.
• Start: ASAP / within 4 weeks
• Duration: 12 months (extendable)
• Location: Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site (Porto, Portugal)
