VW Group Digital Solutions [Portugal] is seeking a Backend Developer (AWS) to design, deploy and operate cloud-native applications on AWS within an international team. You will focus on automation, reliability and continuous improvement across the software lifecycle from development to production.

Ideal candidates have experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring and security, and enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar.
• Experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering or SRE.
• Experience with AWS cloud services in production environments.
• Solid CI/CD concepts and automation practices.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerised apps.
• Knowledge of Python, Java or similar languages.
• Experience with GitLab or similar tooling.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging and observability.
• Security and identity management solutions knowledge.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, deploy and maintain cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
• Support teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient solutions.
• Apply DevOps and SRE principles to improve stability and observability.
• Monitor performance and service availability using modern tools.
• Investigate incidents and drive root-cause improvements.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation with IaC and scripting.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and product owners in agile teams.
• Help define deployment strategies and platform governance.
• Participate in architectural discussions and tech decisions.
