GulfStream Media UAE in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. You will collaborate with design and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience and work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve existing apps.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on Android development using Java/Kotlin, RESTful APIs, and Git.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of Android development experience.
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, XML, and related languages.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Git.

Description We are hiring an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Funchal As an Android Developer you will be responsible for developing testing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform You will work closely with our design and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve our existing apps

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify and fix bugs in a timely manner
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mobile development

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Android development
• Proficient in Java Kotlin XML and other relevant programming languages
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Git version control system
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Bonus Skills

• Experience with cross‑platform development React Native or Flutter
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with UIUX design principles
