Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data side of its AI team. You will own all aspects of data collection to support model training, building high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and optimizing ingestion pipelines.

You will work with scientists to improve cost, throughput and data quality, extend cloud infrastructure on GCP with Terraform, and help shape Speechify’s dataset roadmap for next-generation products.

Qualificações

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Proficiency with Bash and Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code, plus at least one major cloud provider (GCP).
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend the cloud ingestion pipeline on GCP using Terraform.
• Collaborate with Scientists to balance cost, throughput, and data quality for larger-scale models.
• Help craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation products.
