We are looking for one or two AI Consultants to join our team and work closely with us on AI consulting and implementation projects.

This is a hybrid role at the intersection of consulting, operations, and technology, ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, experimenting with AI tools, automating workflows, and turning ideas into practical solutions.

You will work across a wide variety of projects, helping turn ideas into real-world execution.

About Oktogon Labs

Oktogon Labs is a fast-growing boutique AI consulting and technology company, based in Lisbon.

We help companies figure out what AI means for their business, then build it with them.

That might mean redesigning a workflow around AI agents. Automating a process that shouldn't be manual anymore. Building an internal AI tool. Running an AI transformation program. Or helping a team go from "we should probably be doing something with AI" to actually using it every day.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role, and you’ll spend most of your time working across AI consulting and implementation projects.

You’ll talk to clients. Understand how their businesses work. Spot opportunities. Design solutions. Build things. Break things. Fix them. Run workshops. Test new tools. And probably do things six months from now that aren’t part of the job description today.

You’ll work directly with companies to understand their problems and turn AI opportunities into things that actually work.

That includes:

• Mapping workflows and figuring out where AI can genuinely make a difference.
• Designing and building AI agents, automations, workflows, and internal tools.
• Prototyping quickly and getting solutions in front of real users.
• Working with LLMs, APIs, automation platforms, classifiers, and whatever new tools make sense for the problem.
• Helping scope AI projects and turning messy business problems into concrete implementation plans.
• Working directly with clients throughout discovery, implementation, and rollout.
• Running workshops and helping teams understand how to work with AI.

Some days will be more technical. Some will be more client-facing. Some will involve a whiteboard, a messy process, and a lot of questions. Others will involve opening your laptop and building the thing.

About You

First, you need to be really into AI. And you need to use it. Every day.

ChatGPT, Claude, agents, automations, new models, weird tools someone launched three days ago. Whatever your stack looks like.

At Oktogon, AI isn’t a department or a feature. We live and breathe it.

Agents already touch pretty much everything we do: research, development, operations, consulting, analysis, content, internal workflows, and client delivery. We experiment constantly with how we can work differently because these tools exist.

We’re looking for people who naturally do the same.

Your background could be consulting, operations, business analysis, product, engineering, or something less obvious.

We care less about the perfect CV and more about how you think, how quickly you learn, and what you can do.

Finally, Portuguese and English are mandatory. You need to be comfortable working professionally with clients and colleagues in both languages.

We’re hiring at two possible levels. We might hire only one or two profiles, depending on who we come across.

Junior | 0–2 years of experience

Mid-level | 2–5 years of experience

If you’re Junior, we don’t expect you to know everything. We do expect curiosity, energy, initiative, and a willingness to learn quickly.

If you’re Mid-level, we’ll expect more independence. You should be comfortable owning meaningful parts of client projects, structuring ambiguous problems, communicating with stakeholders, and taking a solution from idea to implementation without needing someone next to you at every step.
