Job description
ABOUT LA MANIA

La Mania is a Polish premium fashion brand recognised for distinctive design, uncompromising quality, and a refined approach to femininity and aesthetics. We create collections at the intersection of elegance and everyday wear, with a clear focus on disciplined silhouettes, meticulous detail and long-term consistency in our design language.

We believe that both fashion and interiors express character, evoke emotion and inspire action. That is why we develop two worlds in parallel: La Mania Fashion and La Mania Home. With 9 boutiques in Poland and a rapidly growing business, we are expanding our design team. In parallel, we are building the brand’s international presence and developing our plans for global expansion.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative womenswear designer with solid, hands‑on experience working with product, who will contribute to our Ready to Wear collections and support the evolution of La Mania’s design language across these categories. The role focuses on the development of ready‑to‑wear product segments including casual, sportswear, loungewear, knitwear, denim, formal wear, accessories and outerwear.

We expect a balance of creative thinking with a high level of organisation, technical accuracy and accountability for product execution. You will work closely with pattern makers, technologists and production, influencing the final product, not just the concept.

At our headquarters, we operate a highly experienced, fully equipped in‑house atelier. Pattern makers, garment technologists and sample makers work on‑site, which means the full product development process happens in one place. This enables close day‑to‑day collaboration on prototypes, fittings and detail refinement, in an environment where design decisions translate quickly into the final product.

This is a rare opportunity to design pieces that carry both commercial and brand significance, and to contribute to the next phase of growth for a premium fashion brand that continually raises its standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop Ready to Wear products across categories including casual, sportswear, loungewear, knitwear, denim, formal wear, accessories and outerwear, ensuring consistency with La Mania’s design language.
  • Create seasonal concepts, silhouette directions and product proposals aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and collection objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain complete technical documentation (technical drawings, specifications, design packs) required for efficient product development and production.
  • Work closely with pattern makers, technologists and the in‑house atelier throughout the process, from concept and sampling to production implementation.
  • Participate in fittings, sample reviews and proto sessions; introduce considered adjustments to refine fit, construction and finishing.
  • Monitor sample quality and execution against design intent, maintaining premium‑level standards and attention to detail.
  • Track relevant trends and market signals, translating selected insights into product solutions aligned with the brand’s long‑term direction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan development priorities, timelines and delivery.
  • Review the commercial performance of implemented products with the sales team and use insights to inform future design decisions.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
  • A womenswear designer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally within the premium segment or brands with high quality standards.
  • Someone who understands the product from sketch to final implementation and is confident working closely with pattern making, garment technology and production.
  • A designer proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, comfortable producing clear, structured technical documentation (drawings, specs, design packs).
  • A person with strong sensibility for proportion, materials and detail, able to maintain collection cohesion and brand discipline.
  • Experience within Ready to Wear categories such as casual, knitwear, outerwear, denim, formal wear, sportswear, loungewear and accessories.
  • Highly organised, independent and accountable, able to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining timelines and quality.
  • A strong communicator who works well in a team environment, responds constructively to feedback and translates it into concrete design decisions.
  • Professional working proficiency in English; Polish is a plus.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • A design role within a Polish premium brand with high standards of quality and a consistent, refined design language.
  • Genuine influence over Ready to Wear development and the products that are brought to market.
  • A working environment where the full product development process happens in one place, with direct access to an experienced in‑house atelier, pattern makers, technologists and sample makers.
  • Close, day‑to‑day collaboration with design, pattern, technology and production teams, with a fast feedback loop through sampling and fittings.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience, scope and responsibility.
  • A flexible form of cooperation, adapted to the needs of the role and individual preferences.
  • Benefits including staff discounts across La Mania Fashion and La Mania Home, private healthcare and Multisport.
