Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Plant Design Engineer in Poland to lead 3D plant design and piping for water treatment projects. You will work within a multi-national team, collaborating across locations including Finland, and contribute to equipment layout and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in plant engineering, a degree in Process/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, and English proficiency. Hybrid work in Poznań, Kraków or Łódź is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in Process/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering.
• 3–7 years of relevant plant engineering experience (water sector).
• Good written and spoken English (CEFR B1).
• Working knowledge of 3D-based engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D plant design and modelling, including equipment layout, process piping, and overall plant 3D model (AutoCAD, Cadmatic, Vertex)
• Develop piping and mechanical design solutions for water and wastewater treatment plants
• Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation
• Create and maintain 2D technical drawings and design documentation
• Participate in all project phases, including: Pre-engineering Basic engineering Detailed engineering
• Support equipment selection and dimensioning based on project requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across locations, particularly with colleagues in Finland
• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and efficient design delivery across multiple parallel projects
