Job summary

Calan is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to supervise municipal wastewater facility operations and drive project execution from bids to commissioning. You will optimize energy use and sludge handling while coordinating with suppliers and partners.

The role requires knowledge of water/sewage markets, regulatory compliance, and proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office. On-site position in Poland with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the water and sewage market and services.
• Regulatory acts including water supply and sewage disposal, environmental protection law, and water law.
• Technical knowledge of municipal (and possibly industrial) wastewater treatment processes.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation technology for water and sewage facilities, especially municipal wastewater plants.
• Support bidding and project delivery from tender prep to commissioning, coordinating subcontractors.
• Improve energy efficiency and sludge management in water-sewage facilities.
• Provide technical support in bidding and cooperation with suppliers and partners.
• Participate in technical site visits to client facilities.

Job Description:

• Supervision of the technology of water and sewage facilities operation, especially municipal wastewater treatment plants
• Comprehensive project implementation: technical support at the stage of preparing bids for tenders, investment implementation, and supervision of subcontractors, until the commissioning
• Optimization of water and sewage facilities operations – improving energy efficiency, sludge management
• Technical support for bidding, cooperation with technology suppliers and business partners
• Participation in technical visits to the Client’s facilities

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the market in terms of services provided, knowledge of the water and sewage industry
• Technical knowledge of processes and technologies for the treatment of municipal and possibly industrial wastewater, including the energy efficiency of water-sewage facilities
• Regulatory knowledge, including the act on collective water supply and sewage disposal, environmental protection law, water law
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
