Qualifications

Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscape.
Ability to explain what a security vulnerability is and its business/technical impact.
Familiarity with vulnerability severity classification and prioritization methodologies.
Knowledge of CVSS and its use in risk assessment.
Understanding of vulnerability remediation processes and risk reduction practices.

Responsibilities

Identify, investigate, and research vulnerabilities using public sources (CVE, NVD, advisories).
Prioritize remediation based on severity, exploitability, asset criticality, and business impact.
Explain vulnerability concepts to stakeholders and support risk-based decisions.
Support vulnerability scanning activities and understand scanner capabilities and limitations.
