Job description

About us & why we are looking for you

At VolleyStation, we combine technology and sports. Our goal is clear: we want to bring volleyball to the top tier of sports when it comes to using data. We create highly advanced tech products that take our favorite sport to a whole new level -one that was previously reserved only for sports with massive budgets.

Just last year alone, our team supported 3,700 matches across 27 countries and 56 cities. We spent a total of 660 days at tournaments, and to make it all happen, we took 333 flights, covering over 1.14 million kilometers in the air. Impressive, right?

In 2027, we are gearing up for even bigger challenges, highlighted by the upcoming World Championships. That’s why we are expanding our traveling technical team and looking for people to represent us at international tournaments, ensuring our equipment and systems run flawlessly on-site.

Are you good with technology and come from the volleyball world? Awesome! If you are "just" a passionate fan wanting to enter this world, welcome aboard. We won't throw you in at the deep end. We work at both indoor and beach volleyball events, so we have a clear path prepared for you to gain experience with us step by step.

What is absolutely unique about this role?
  • You have a real impact on the global development of volleyball.
  • By gathering detailed data from the courts, you give sports organizations a powerful tool.
  • Plus, you don't just sit in the stands. You go where no fan is allowed.
  • You work in the very heart of world volleyball, taking a seat at the most important table in the arena.
What is this job all about?
  • You travel a lot. Before you even reach the arena, you spend time at airports, handle customs clearance, and make sure VolleyStation's equipment arrives safely.
  • You set things up.You install cameras, tablets, and check the network infrastructure. You solve on-the-spot issues with local organizers (e.g., no internet connection or bad camera placement).
  • You run the show. You start 3 hours before the first whistle. You configure matches in our system and set up the gear. During the game, there’s no room for mistakes- you react to system issues in a flash, relying on our checklists.
  • You are the tech support. You help event participants and explain how to use our systems.
  • You wrap it up.After the job is done, you prepare documentation and technical reports from the event.
What are we looking for?
  • Volleyball is more to you than just passive cheering. You understand the sport, know the rules, and are familiar with the key stats.
  • You are a team player. We are one crew, we help each other out, and we all pull in the same direction.
  • You know how to handle computers, cables, and basic IT gear. You are comfortable in the Windows environment and can easily tell the difference between standard cable connectors.
  • You are available for international travel and have no problem traveling alone (flight delays or lost luggage don't scare you).
  • You speak English at a B2 level minimum (it’s our primary language at events, so you need to speak, read, and write it comfortably).
  • You can keep a cool head in emergencies. When something suddenly crashes, you don’t panic; you just focus on fixing the problem.
  • You can explain complex topics in a simple way, and you have no problem standing in front of a group to share essential knowledge.
  • You are physically ready for traveling with heavy luggage, long flights, time zone changes, and various weather conditions, as this job can be physically demanding.
What will be a plus?
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks (configuring static IPs, how switches and routers work).
  • Experience as a volleyball referee.
  • Experience working at sports events (preferably volleyball) or in IT / Support roles.
  • Familiarity with VS Referee (or similar e-scoring software).
What do we offer?
  • Work at the most prestigious tournaments in the world.
  • A clear growth path from the ground up for volleyball enthusiasts.
  • Incredible experience blending IT, sports, and global event management.
  • A supportive team and full backing -whether on the road or back home, we always play as a team.
  • Long-term cooperation that you can adjust to your schedule and availability.
  • A package of branded company apparel.
