Role Overview
Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Director in orchestrating site execution, contract coordination, and strict project controls. The role bridges the gap between operational site management and high-level project governance, ensuring engineering milestones, financial targets, and safety standards are flawlessly met.
Key Responsibilities
- Site & Project Management Support: Act as right hand to the Project Director in day-to-day site operations, coordination and problem-solving; drive project momentum and ensure milestones are reached in compliance with contractual agreements.
- Project Controls & Monthly Reporting: Own and update key management tools – Master Schedule, Budget/Cost Control, Progress Tracking, Project Risk Register; consolidate and prepare comprehensive Monthly Progress Report for senior management.
- Subcontractor Interface Management: Serve as main interface and mediator between the two main on-site subcontractors; coordinate workflows, resolve interface conflicts, and eliminate execution bottlenecks.
- Permits & Legal Compliance: Supervise the Civil/Construction Site Manager in preparation and submission of all necessary operational documentation, focusing on obtaining Permits for Use.
- Commissioning & Start-up Readiness: Supervise the Commissioning/Start-up Site Manager, ensuring proper resource allocation and efficient team mobilization for the plant startup phase.
- HSE Standards Enforcement: Collaborate daily with Central and Local HSE teams to guarantee that SUEZ HSE standards and golden rules are strictly applied, monitored, and respected across all site activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Project controls (master schedule, cost/budget control, progress tracking, risk register)
- Preparation of monthly progress reports
- Understanding of construction and commissioning processes
- Permitting and operational documentation
- MS Office (Excel), project-scheduling tools

Education & Language Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- Languages required: English – advanced (mandatory); French and/or Spanish – an asset; Polish – valuable.
