Job summary

Cognizant Kraków is seeking a Video Content Moderator to join its office-based team. You will review user reports, classify content under compliance rules, and make balanced decisions while flagging discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Norwegian at C1 level and English at B2 level.
• Willingness to work morning shifts from the office, including weekends.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written.
• Fast learner and adaptable to learning new processes, concepts and skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Neutral mindset to classifying diverse video content.

Responsibilities

• Revision of user reports regarding website content.
• Analysis and identification of content according to compliance policies.
• Making well-balanced decisions and flagging discrepancies per policies.
• Using market-specific knowledge to improve support for the user community.
• Revision of sensitive content, including graphic or disturbing material.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in the Norwegian language at least C1 level and English at B2 level,
• Availability to work on a morning shift (including weekend shifts) from the office,
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills,
• Quick learner and adaptable to learning new processes, concepts, and skills,
• Excellent organizational and time management skills,
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to deliver accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard,
• Having a neutral mindset to alternative video content that needs classification.

Accountabilities:

• Revision of user reports regarding website content,
• Analysis and identification of content according to compliance policies,
• Making well-balanced decisions and helping to resolve inquiries to defined policies and procedures by flagging discrepancies,
• Using market-specific knowledge and insights to improve the support of the user community,
• Revision of sensitive content, sometimes involving graphic or disturbing subject matter.

Content Moderators play an important role in ensuring the safety of online communities against harmful user-generated content. Safeguarding the online communication space can lead to meaningful and rewarding work for a content moderator as the mission of moderation aims to create positive, safe, and inclusive environments for everyone.

Rewarding outcomes are not often without challenges. As a part of the job requirement, you will be required to review and analyze explicit and extremely sensitive content, sometimes involving graphic or otherwise disturbing text, videos, and images, which may be disturbing due to their egregious nature. The content under review is likely to expose the reviewer to crime scenes, dangerous or derogatory content, abuse, harassment, and sexually explicit content.
