Job summary

Buro Happold in Poland (Warsaw/Lublin) is seeking an experienced Vertical Transportation Engineer to lead design across projects in Europe and beyond. This role is based in Poland with remote/hybrid working arrangements and involves collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

You will contribute to planning and delivery of innovative vertical transport solutions, work with Elevate, AutoCAD and Lift Designer, and engage with clients and stakeholders in an international context.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in elevator/vertical transportation.
• Strong working knowledge of Elevate, AutoCAD and Lift Designer.
• Good understanding of European elevator regulations and building codes.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver vertical transportation design services across project stages.
• Use Elevate, AutoCAD and Lift Designer to develop and coordinate solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications for complex lift systems.
• Contribute to design and planning of specialist vertical transportation installations.
• Manage project communication and documentation in English.
• Interface with architects, developers, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Support development of internal standards and processes.
• Review and assure quality of deliverables.
• Support planning, resource management, fee proposals, and business development.
• Contribute to growth of Vertical Transportation offering via client engagement.
