Job summary

GlobalLogic Automotive in Kraków is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Test Engineer to test real development vehicles, validate software releases, and assess features under real-world and controlled conditions.

You will work directly with vehicles, diagnose issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality and reliability in vehicle systems and testing environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Polish Category B driving license and a responsible driving record.
• Hands-on automotive experience with vehicles, ECUs, diagnostics, or related tools.
• Troubleshooting: identify root causes and distinguish defects from test-related issues.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and vehicle-level testing.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• In-Vehicle & Track Testing: perform end-to-end manual testing on test vehicles and prove grounds.

Automotive, Manual QA, Vehicle Simulation & Testing

GlobalLogic Automotive is looking for a hands-on Vehicle Test Engineer to join our team in Kraków. In this role, you will be directly involved in testing real development vehicles, validating new software releases, and evaluating vehicle features under both real-world and controlled test conditions.

This is a highly practical engineering position. You will spend a significant part of your time working directly with vehicles, testing features, troubleshooting issues, and validating software releases. If you are a confident driver with a strong automotive background and enjoy working with vehicles, diagnostics, and testing more than sitting behind a desk writing code, this could be the role for you!

Requirements

• Valid Polish Category B driving license and a confident, responsible driving record.
• Automotive experience – hands-on experience working with vehicles, automotive systems, ECUs, vehicle diagnostics, or related tools.
• Troubleshooting skills – ability to investigate technical issues, identify potential root causes, and distinguish between vehicle/feature defects and environmental or test-related issues.
• Good technical understanding of automotive systems and vehicle-level testing.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with engineering and development teams.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on environment, including test vehicles, workshops, and proving grounds.

Job responsibilities

In-Vehicle & Track Testing

• Conduct end-to-end manual functional, exploratory, and regression testing on physical test vehicles and proving grounds.
• Validate new software releases and feature updates under real-world and controlled driving conditions.
• Evaluate feature performance, user experience, and vehicle behavior against functional specifications.
• Reproduce issues and perform structured troubleshooting during vehicle and track tests.
• Provide clear and detailed feedback to development and engineering teams.

Vehicle Preparation & Diagnostics

• Prepare test vehicles and test rigs by flashing, updating, and verifying HW/SW baselines before test execution.
• Perform basic hardware upgrades, technical maintenance, and sensor and cable checks in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Use standard automotive diagnostic tools to collect diagnostic data, system logs, and relevant test evidence.
• Identify, document, and report software and vehicle issues clearly and accurately.
• Support development teams in determining whether an issue is related to the vehicle, software feature, test environment, or test setup.
