Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Vehicle SW Release Tester – Functional Testing in Krakow to ensure high-quality vehicle software releases. You will design and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests on in-vehicle systems, with a focus on Apps, OTA, and overall functionality, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive testing, strong English, Polish driving license, and hands-on experience with vehicle simulation and black box testing.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: Valid Polish Driver’s License (Category B) with a strong, confident driving record.
• Must-Have: Black box testing experience in automotive domain.
• Must-Have: Manual QA and test execution background.
• Must-Have: Vehicle simulation and vehicle-level testing practice.
• Must-Have: Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Nice-to-Have: Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing experience.
• Nice-to-Have: Embedded systems software background.
• Nice-to-Have: Defect tracking tools proficiency (Jira, Linear).

Responsibilities

• Test Case Design and Creation: Develop, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications for vehicle systems.
• Test Execution: Manually execute various types of testing (functional, regression, exploratory) on in-vehicle software and systems, utilizing real test vehicles.
• Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately identify, document, and track bugs and defects in the bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA), providing clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, systems engineers, business analysts, and other teams to understand requirements, clarify defects, and verify fixes.
• Validation of Fixes: Perform re-tests and regression testing to confirm that reported bugs have been successfully resolved and that the fixes have not introduced new issues.
