Job summary

Westwing Group AG in Warsaw is seeking a Junior Tax Specialist to join our Finance team, focusing on VAT compliance across jurisdictions and supporting cross-border tax activities for our fast-growing e-commerce business.

You will prepare VAT returns, Intrastat, and EC Sales Lists, provide advisory on tax legislation, and coordinate with authorities during audits. You will also help drive VAT process improvements, leveraging data quality and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• Experience in indirect tax, preferably in-house VAT.
• Proficiency with Polish and EU VAT regulations, Intrastat reporting.
• Strong Excel and ERP experience (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar).
• Fluent English; German or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, SAF-T filings.
• Provide VAT advisory and guidance on legislation and risks.
• Coordinate with tax authorities during audits.
• Assist with VAT process improvements and documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Tech, and Customer Care.
