Job summary

emagine in Kraków seeks a UI Designer to craft high-quality UI designs from requirements and UX direction, building layouts, components, states, and responsive behavior. You’ll create wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to support agile prioritization and delivery.

You will apply UX best practices, contribute to a design system, ensure accessibility, and collaborate with branding and engineering to deliver consistent UI across products.

What You’ll Do

• Create high-quality UI designs from requirements and early UX direction, including layouts, components, states, and responsive behavior.
• Produce wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups, and build interactive prototypes to support agile prioritization, discussion, and delivery.
• Apply customer experience best practices, libraries, and frameworks to deliver consistent UI across the product.
• Maintain strong attention to detail across typography, spacing, color, iconography, and interaction states to ensure a polished finish.
• Contribute to collaborate with branding on an emerging design system.

Contract: B2B Contract

Rate: 130-150 PLN/h + VAT

What You’ll Do

UI Design & Prototyping

• Create high-quality UI designs from requirements and early UX direction, including layouts, components, states, and responsive behavior.
• Produce wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups, and build interactive prototypes to support agile prioritization, discussion, and delivery.
• Apply customer experience best practices, libraries, and frameworks to deliver consistent UI across the product.
• Maintain strong attention to detail across typography, spacing, color, iconography, and interaction states to ensure a polished finish.
• Contribute to collaborate with branding on an emerging design system.

Design systems

• Use and contribute to design systems and component libraries (e.g., patterns, tokens, documentation) to improve consistency and speed of delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs and resolve UI issues found during build and testing.
• Collaborate with branding to ensure consistency with other design systems.
• Support accessibility and inclusive design by ensuring UI meets agreed standards (e.g., contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation considerations).

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and users to deliver UI solutions aligned with business objectives and user needs, utilizing JIRA and Kanban boards for structured collaboration.
• Work with UI Lead and the design team to maintain UI and UX consistency across all designs.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

Experience and Knowledge:

• A portfolio demonstrating strong UI design craft for digital products (including web applications), with high-fidelity screens and component-based design.
• Experience working with design systems and applying reusable components and patterns.
• Working knowledge of usability and accessibility principles influencing UI decisions.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, and their impact on product experiences.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) for day-to-day work, including team discussions and updates.

Skills:

• Strong visual design skills (layout, typography, color, hierarchy) and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills to effectively explain design decisions and collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work at pace, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Proactive attitude, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about keeping up with the latest technology advancements and benefits to teams.

Nice to have: Banking experience
