On behalf of a well-established Italian entrepreneurial group operating within an international industrial environment, we are seeking a Treasury Manager to take full ownership of the treasury and financial management of one of its operating entities.
The Group operates through several companies and sites across international markets, serving primary industrial clients and managing projects and contracts of significant technical, organizational and financial complexity. The project- and contract-based nature of the business, with its long-cycle cash dynamics, milestone billing and working capital requirements, makes the treasury function a genuinely central and strategic responsibility within the organization.
Reporting to senior leadership and working in close coordination with the Group's Finance functions, the successful candidate will hold the company's banking relationships directly and personally, manage cash flow and liquidity, negotiate and maintain credit facilities and bank guarantees, and oversee the accounting and reporting cycle of the entity. This is a role of substance and autonomy: treasury is held in-house, not delegated to a centralized group structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and personally manage the company's relationships with banks and financial institutions
- Negotiate, secure and maintain credit lines, working capital facilities and bank guarantees
- Manage cash flow planning, liquidity and the company's cash resources, including payment authorization
- Oversee working capital management, with particular attention to the cash dynamics of long-term projects and contracts
- Manage foreign exchange exposure and related risk mitigation
- Oversee the company's general accounting and safeguard the accuracy, completeness and reliability of financial information
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Lead reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities within an international group structure
- Ensure the application of internal control procedures, including SOX-type requirements
- Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, external advisors and other institutions
- Coordinate, supervise and develop the local finance team
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- Consolidated experience in treasury and financial management, with direct and personal responsibility for banking relationships
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing credit facilities, working capital lines and bank guarantees, with established banking contacts
- Solid command of the full accounting cycle, accounting principles and tax regulations
- Professional background gained within industrial organizations; experience in project- or contract-based businesses will be considered a distinct advantage
- Experience in preparing financial reporting under IFRS
- Familiarity with internal control processes; exposure to SOX-compliant environments is a strong plus
- Experience in coordinating and supervising small finance teams
- Ability to operate effectively within an international, multicultural organization
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
