Job summary

TSMG Holding is hiring City and Country Experts to help keep map data accurate and aligned with real-world changes. You will test location results and review issues reported by map users, applying local market knowledge to improve city and country-level data quality.

The role involves field verification, data validation, policy development for cities and countries, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate mapping across regions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in English and local language.
• Basic programming: Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Familiar with GIS or mapping tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to support project goals.
• Create city-level transit data policies based on local market needs and regulations.
• Identify user expectations, data gaps, and transit-related issues.
• Improve transit data models using local knowledge of transportation systems.
• Validate and review updated transit data.
• Edit and maintain different types of transit data.
• Resolve complex mapping and transit data issues.
• Support Program Managers in communication with data providers and partners.
• Conduct field research to verify transit information and user issues.
• Support outage and alert management for assigned cities.
• Manage city-specific data pipelines using internal platforms and basic programming skills.
• Create country-specific guideline documents for operations teams.
• Provide local expertise for mapping policies and regional regulations.
• Support mapping operations with knowledge of traffic laws, landmarks, and political mapping formats.
• Review and troubleshoot mapping and operational issues.
• Act as a point of contact for city/country mapping questions.
• Perform quality audits and identify operational errors.
• Review imported mapping data before system integration.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure correct political and regional formats are applied.
