The Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Transfer Pricing Specialist to take ownership of the group's transfer pricing documentation, policy, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, Audit and Tax, you will prepare and maintain TP documentation, design and implement intercompany pricing policies, and advise on the transfer pricing implications of the group's transactions - including intra-group services, financing arrangements, and restructurings. This is a hands-on role that combines technical rigour with practical, operational transfer pricing in a dynamic, regulated financial services environment.
Contract Type: Fixed-term, 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Reporting Line: Head of Accounting, Audit and Tax
What You Will Do
- Analyse and document intercompany fee streams, including introducer/rebate arrangements, brand and white-label licensing, platform and IT service fees, and management/support services - with correct characterisation (services vs. royalties/IP).
- Set up and maintain a structured system for classifying all intercompany transactions by category (goods, services, royalties/IP, financing).
- Design and implement operational transfer pricing processes, embedding pricing policies into day-to-day systems and applying periodic true-ups to keep actual results aligned with policy.
- Design, benchmark, and document intercompany financing arrangements in line with OECD TPG Chapter X, including credit rating analysis, interest rate benchmarking, and safe harbour assessments.
- Prepare or review benchmarking studies using commercial databases (e.g., RoyaltyRange, for financial transactions).
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain Local Files, Master File contributions, and Summary Information Tables (SIT) where relevant, in line with the requirements of each jurisdiction in which the group operates.
- Assess documentation thresholds and filing obligations across jurisdictions (Cyprus, Malta, UAE, etc. Corporate Tax TP disclosure requirements) and maintain a group-wide TP compliance calendar.
Advisory & Business Support
- Support the group on TP aspects, new intercompany agreements, and regulatory capital considerations affecting related-party pricing.
- Assist in analysing the transfer pricing implications of planned transactions under various scenarios (e.g. group restructurings, new services, and financing arrangements).
- Review intercompany agreements for consistency with actual conduct and TP documentation.
Stakeholder Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare clear, well-structured deliverables (memos, workbooks) for senior management.
- Liaise with accounting team to ensure intercompany transactions are correctly recorded in the ERP and reconciled with TP documentation.
What You Will Bring
- 4-5 years of transfer pricing experience, gained in a Big 4 / large advisory firm and/or in-house within a multinational group.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or another related field.
- Strong working knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines (2022). Sound understanding of the application of transfer pricing to financial institutions.
- Demonstrable experience preparing Local Files and Master Files and performing benchmarking studies end-to-end.
- Experience with intercompany financing (loan pricing, credit ratings, interest benchmarking).
- Advanced Excel skills; ability to build and audit structured workbooks with live formulas.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Excellent written English; able to produce advisor-quality documentation independently.
- Experience in financial services / brokerage / fintech (regulated entities, introducer arrangements, platform licensing).
- Familiarity with the local TP regimes of the group's jurisdictions (Cyprus, Malta, UAE), including local documentation formats and filing mechanics.
- Familiarity with modern tools, such as AI and other technology-enabled solutions, to support transfer pricing work.
