Position: Training & Development Senior Professional (Platform)
Job Overview
The TrafoSchool is a global learning and development team focused on building skills and career paths for engineers. As a Platform Training & Development Senior Professional you will shape how platform and software engineers develop their capabilities across the organization. Your role includes defining competencies, designing learning paths, coordinating training, and ensuring that engineering teams progress efficiently in a changing technological landscape.
Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering Competency Framework: Define and maintain a competency framework that aligns business priorities, engineering standards, and emerging AI capabilities with competency expectations.
- Skills & Competence Mapping: Build and maintain skill matrices, assess current versus target levels, identify gaps, and prioritize development initiatives that improve performance, quality, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Training & Development Architecture: Design role‑based development paths for all seniority levels and create a comprehensive training architecture, including internal programs, SME sessions, external providers, and technical courses.
- SME & External Training Coordination: Coordinate internal experts and external learning providers, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and consistency with platform engineering priorities.
- Training Execution (Platform Engineering): Plan, coordinate, and execute learning activities, manage scheduling, participant communication, completion tracking, and continuous improvement of learning effectiveness.
- Local F2F Training Coordination (GEC): Act as the local coordinator for face‑to‑face training at the Global Engineering Center, supporting logistics, facilities, and compliance with local HSE requirements.
- Monitoring, Governance & Continuous Improvement: Track and report KPIs related to competencies, training completion, and learning effectiveness, provide visibility into progress and risks, and champion technology adoption and continuous learning across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong background in software engineering and platform development environments.
- Experience working with large software development teams.
- Proven experience in skills and competency mapping, capability development, or structured technical training programs.
- Exposure to digital transformation initiatives and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience coordinating technical training, SMEs, and external providers.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, cross‑functional organization.
- Fluent in English.
